Some people can afford to spend their money on their looks by purchasing the most expensive beauty products and going to the salon every other day. However, those of us who can't afford it, don't necessarily have to deny ourselves the pleasure of looking good. There are plenty of ways to look good without spending a lot of money. Here are some cost-cutting tips:
- Use PAM spray to quickly dry your nail polish instead of an expensive machine.
- Add olive oil to your bath water for softening your skin.
- Mix raw sugar, olive oil and lemon and use it as a body scrub. It is as effective as the expensive body scrubs that you purchase from stores.
- Reduce the use of shampoo and body lotion. You don't really have to "lather, rinse, repeat" and you don't really need "about the size of a quarter"
- Use Apple Cider Vinegar on your hair. Tt works pretty well as a toner and makes your hair shine.
- Mix water and oatmeal to make a paste and apply it over your face for an excellent homemade facial.
- Use the oil in the vitamin-E tablets on your lips to make them glow.
- Make use of hydrogen peroxide as a cheap nail bleach.
- Keep the lid tightly closed on all your beauty products to prevent them from getting dry, and make them last longer.
- Mix your body lotion with Vaseline to make it last longer.
- Buy those beauty products which can be used for more than one purpose, for instance Moroccan Oil which can be used as a styling product as well as a conditioning treatment.
- Create your own beauty products like shampoo and cream using ingredients which cost much less than the finished product.
- Avoid washing your hair every day and instead you can try dry shampoo which will make your hair look more voluminous.
- Use baby wipes to remove your make-up instead of expensive specialty removers.
